90 in 90: Remote Collaboration
Over the past few months, I’ve found that I’ve been increasingly wrapped up in management activites of all sorts and my creative side is feeling a little restless. Don’t get me wrong: planning and control is a barrel of monkeys, but it hasn’t provided a satisfying outlet to keep the ideas flowing. In this month’s ACM Interactions Magazine, Rachel Hinman from Adaptive Path describes her 90 Mobiles in 90 Days project. Her motivation for this effort was to begin to grapple with the creative addiction that she picked up during a challenging 8 month project.
My motivations are completely the opposite, however. I’m trying to cultivate an addiction which I seem to have kicked due to other demands on my time. If this experiment works well, you’ll find a daily-ish design idea about improving some aspect of remote collaboration through design. You’ll be able to find all the 90 in 90 posts here.
